There is an irritating thing about the game. Point and Click at a moster...the Avatar starts hunting it..fair enuf..but in that time...if the monster moves even a wee bit...the avatar would shoot straight ahead...
turn and try to hit the monster ... this will happen once the mosnter STOPS moving. The avatar finally catches up waits for a sec or two and THEN start walloping... takes a whole 7-8 seconds!!

No im not taling about Lag here...apparently, GM says thats how the games made. Its frustrating when there is no fluidity in motion.. Its simple, if the char has reached the monster ...it should start walloping wihouyt a second of waiting!!!!

It becomes all the more pain ful when ur trying to hunt resca's or Amadeus, who keep running till ur kill their "protectors" :( It took me a whole friggin day to kill 100 resca's..all becoz they kept running and my avatar taking all the time to catch up..wait..and then hit..then run and catchup all over again!! :( : ( :(

I still think that's due to the lag man.

no dude NO!!
Its NOT lag....im on a 512 Kbps Line dude. i know what Lag is per se.
Try hunting the irritating Rescas using HK. Until you kill its vonoy, it'll keep running from ur blows. each time u catch up...it walks away..and the stupid avatar waits for a sec or two before getting its blow.

Ranged characters(ive tried archer , same connection) have NO problems.
they'll just point and click and fluidly the attack happens.

To give a good comparison, see the combat of Diablo2 or Demonstone.
The character cathes up to amonster and IMMEDIATELY starts whacking away, no delay even online!!!

GMS..PLEASE FIX THIS. PLEASE PLEASE PRETTY PLEASE!!! :x

Hey dude the monster A.I must been build like that, It defence itself untill it slave (VONOY) is dead. ha ha ha ha

What monster AI?? Its an AI problem or lag issue. I have experienced some of it even with a ranged char. The actual problem seems to be the attck selection area around a monster. You have to click in a very specific area for u to start attacking. Also sometimes, the cursor takes time to change to attack icon. If u click on the moster, and the moster is moving, there is a chance that the cursor will not change to attck icon in time before u click. In that case ur char will just run up to the moster and stand there to get belted by that monster. Very irritating.

Another problem I've noticed is that sometimes ranged chars, will go right next to the moster and then start attacking. This is very stupid. I hope these issues do get resolved soon.

I dont mind the AI of the monster dude.
I'm talking about the Character Attack ! Eowyn speaks correctly.

Point and click shoult be Instantaneous. Even when the monster moves away..the char catching up should NOT stop and rest like its a friggin picnic before he makes a hit. Catchup should EQUAL Start the Hits.

Right now its Catchup Equals WAIT and THEN Start the Hits. In that time frame, the monster can move away. The frustration keeps Piling on.

PS : By the way, Ive noticed Warriors tend to have greater number of Hits/Round than HK. Consequently, the WAIT time is less so warriors mite not notice this. Other HKs Please help me out here!!!!! :(

Also it works both ways. More noticable for ranged chars. Suppose I start hitting a monster. He moves to my position to hit me. When that monster reaches me, it stops and waits for some time before hitting me. In that time I move away and start hitting again. And the whole cycle repeats.

I find it pretty stupid, if the monster has reached me. it should attack immediately. Every time I move away, it stops to think again. Feels so silly. Feels like I'm whacking someone with a bat on the head and he's planning how to beat me in chess the next day. Dude.....

do something. make the fights more fluid.
