Hi All,
I have heard many people talk about botting and earning wz and getting items without actually playing.
Now don't get me wrong i am not talking about using hack programs and stuff but something like using your mercenaries to hunt for you in low level maps and collecting items.
If i am not wrong some people in past got banned for botting Khanien i never understood the concept. Please try to make it clear.
Also if this topic is illegal or banned in any way please tell me so i will delete it pronto.
Just curious hence asking about do people get banned for using mercenaries and other things like auto kill??

Ok this is more like simulated botting-and applicable to mages alone.
'Handsfree' hunting for mages.
1) Choose a map where you can comfortably hunt and don't have to pot frantically.
2) Select a good creepy location, start using an area attack. Preferably choose one that consumes lower MP.
3) Keeping rightclick pressed, hit the Windows key to get to the desktop.
4) Click on A3 in the taskbar to return to the game.
Now your mage will go on attacking, and you can give your hand a rest!
Of course, you still need to watch your HP MP consumption.
In episode 3, (Clororence) they've added an automatic potting option-where you can pot when your HP/MP goes below a preset level, and TP to town when HP becomes 0.
Also there's an automatic buff feature-to reactivate your buffs (HP/MP absorber for mage, shield/wpn for HKs, cruise for warriors, mirage/chaser for archers) when they time out. (Though this feature can be dangerous in the middle of a boss hunt or pk fest)
With the autopot feature, you can leave your mage in a quiet spot for a few hours and go do something else!

@rex
Thanks for posting i think so this clue was posted long before on the forums itself used it umpteen times now but still as you said without auto potting of a3 and slow computer (which hangs in this transistion) it has caused more misery and less rewards still thanks for answering about this handsfree art of hunting nowadays i guess people use mercs rather than their characters lazzy people

but for any other characters any such techniques exist let me know esp for archers

Well..you
could try the same, using explosion or arrow storm, but it's not worth it since archers don't carry as much MP as mages do.
One thing that works for any character is to use your merc-especially if its an archer merc. Park your char in a low risk map (even outside town if you like

) and set the merc to defense, ie 'attack first enemy that attacks player' (by pressing M)
You won't get much xp this way-since by definition it has to be a low lvl map where you won't take much damage. However depending on the merc's level, it might gain XP.[/i]

Coming back to the actual question which techniques do archer use to earn wz
