Important advice to low level players-BUY YOUR MERC ASAP!!

Mercs get harder to level up as your level increases. So it's best to buy a merc as soon as you can. Start saving wz, or beg borrow steal :twisted:, but get the 500,000 wz necessary to purchase a merc. For info on which merc to buy etc see the merc specific threads in the advanced guide forum.

The reason for this is at lower levels your merc will be able to reach a level comparable to yours and thus be able to help u hunt easily. Whereas for many of us who were already 100 or 110 and above, we can't use our mercs to hunt till they atleast cross lvl 70 or 80. And merc also gets very less xp from questing, similar to us :cry:

So in your own interest...just get a merc and start playing with it!
Set it to not attack in the initial stages (again-plz refer to the main merc thread for details)

Yea!! My merc is just not ready to lvl up... Itz now lvl 62 and the xp itz gets is worse than the xp which my shue gets... Itz kind of irritating... :(

But i love the dmg that it does... :twisted:

When i submit a quest which gives 250k xp... My merc get just arnd 25% xp... :x

Some of my friends who just completed their jump quest have a higher lvl merc than me.... :cry:

Well how it works is, the merc gets the same amount of xp as you do when u submit quest..and it's tempered by your own level. My merc got just 1 lvl up from 36 to 37 when I submitted the s1 105 quest (250k xp, highest xp quest till now :( ).

Note-The ewealia necklace ('something fishy' from materra/mecho) also gives nearabouts the same xp..but good luck getting the *censored* to drop their necklaces!!)

no offence rex, but one correction the merc gets half the xp on completing quest, e.g. if the quest gives 50k xp then u get all xp and ur merc gets 50% of that. I came to know this by calculating the xp before and after submitting quest for both me and the merc.

Yea... I guess he is right... My merc is hardly lvling though I submit quests worth 250k... :x

I heard ur mercs get around 1/3 the xp of the quest u do so naturally the higher the lvl of merc the lesser the % xp it gets same as the player.

Main point is, it will take that much longer for your merc to reach a level where it can significantly help you hunt without taking too much damage. That way low lvl chars have an advantage, their mercs and their own levels are comparable so both can fight together.

Well as you said i bought the merc but now the problem is how di i figure out what are the skills that he has got b'coz the discriptions are definately not in any language leave alone english

Read and match the skills of the mercenary in the ascending order... For e.g. Archer mercenary skill is matched as

1. Robust 2. Defence
3. Offensive mastery 4. Precision
5. Fatality 6.Hustler

Now match the merc skills the same way with other merc classes.. :wink:
