"K guys, i have seen some players trying to report bots but failed to capture the essence of it. Here are some guide lines to help. Other suggestions are welcome =)
You suspect player ABC is a botter due to his repeated movements.
Steps to take:
(Note: The following steps will not work if the player is sitting infront of his computer letting his bot work. So what u need to do is come back again another time to test lol simple =P)
STEP 1
Pull up your chat box. So your screenshot can capture more of the text conversation.
STEP 2
Begin asking a random question.
(Refrain from using questions that Botters may pre-type within the bot's auto reply mode)
(10-15secs after the first question take a screen shot with holding your alt key)
STEP 3
Once done with the first screen shot, ask another question, we call this question 2. And after 10-15secs if player ABC does not reply, take a screen shot again.
STEP 4
Ask the last question we will call it question 3. If still there is no reply after 10-15secs, take a screen shot just like before.)
By now you should have the first 3 screenshot showing that he did not respond to your chat. There are cases where players would use the following excuse:
“My brother/cousin was playing for me, so he didn’t know how to reply”
“Oh, my general chat and whisper chat is Off”
In-order for the above to be proven wrong, engage in and attack him after the third screen shot. A few scenarios may happen depending on type of bots. Such as:
STEP 5 BOT TYPE 1
Type 1, bot activates F8 and immediately ports back to town upon first hit.
(If you encounter Type 1 bot, take a screen shot that display the Self Defense text 4th screen shot)
Try whispering him once you he port back to town. Upon entering the line of whisper, take the 5th screen shot. The purpose for this screen shot is so that if it’s his brother/cousin playing, then that fellow would have freaked out and call him back to shout at you, so leaving your whisper name there ensures that he gets your nick right. If there are no reply 5mins after that whisper, take the final 6th screen shot and prepare to send it to GM via email.
STEP 5 BOT TYPE 2
Type2, bot will attack you back, but once you get attack, try to hit the HP recovery pot key and take screen shot (4th screen shot) at the same time to show that this bot retaliates. Then move out of the bot’s view by running away immediately as it would stop attacking you once you out of it’s sight. Now walk back to him, he should be killing the mobs again and does not acknowledge your presence. Take your final 5th screen shot with a big: Hellow~ botter, you are on canditbotty camera =p” That’s another way to checkmate on botters who claim both private and normal chat is off. If he really is there and did attack you, when u go back, why doesn’t he acknowledge your presence.
STEP 5 BOT TYPE 3 (High Level)
There are some bots that may attack you back and they are off an awful high lvl with loads of damage that may kill you in the long run. If you notice his gears being 3 grades above you or 15 lvl above you, get your own F8 button ready. Once you PK him, prepare to F8 if you are about to die. Once you are back in town, take a screen shot of the self defense text. After that try to whisper to him, if his whisper is off, take the screen shot as well, if it is not, take the screen shot of the whisper, and proceed back to where he was, now stand around him and say: I pk you whisper u u never reply, now i standing right infront of you u also can't see me. Gotcha!
STEP 5 BOT TYPE 4 (Bimbo boots)
These are bots that have stupid settings. When you pk it, it will keep attacking the mobs it was attacking and it was as if you did not exist. All you need to do is, hold CTRL button, then either left click to attack, (Do not let go of CTRL button) after that take screen shots with the CTRL button still lock on while he runs around with you auto chasing and hitting him. You should have a fun time taking at least 3-4screen shots if this is the case.
STEP 6
After the attacking and stuff is over,wait for around 2mins after the last whisper to ensure that the person wasn't chatting to another person thus wasn't able to reply you. But mostly if there was a player at the computer, he would have immediately reply you. So With all the screen shot, now what you need to do is:
-Locate the screenshots. They should be located at the directory where you installed your A3 client. Example: (C:\Program Files\A3\ScreenShot)
-Next, open all of them with a program, and convert them to JPG or JPEG format. (This is to reduce the file size so you can send more at one go.)
-Important: Never change the file name as it includes the date and time that GMs will need to refer to for log checks.
-Then Email the GM at this address:

-In your email, include details on how you tested the botter and also request for the GM to note the time interval between each Screenshot further proof the test.
Things to note:
For Email attachment, some email providers may limit you to 3 attachment per out-going mail or may have limitations on the file size you may send out. In this case there are a few ways to send out all the 5 screen shots:
-Mail attachment out in 2 mails. Include in subject: Part 1 or Part 2 (recommended)
-Upload the files on a server and give the hyperlink (for advance users)
Important:
GM’s announced that different levels of punishment will be awarded to players who are botting. So do not assume one email on that day is enough. If 1 week later, you still see the same player botting, repeat the 6 step procedure again.
DON'TS
Don't ever try dropping items to test a bot. It's got to be the worst way anyone can think of. Firstly, in some MMORPG games, and even in A3 (Quest drops) Players are forced to train hard to loot fast inorder to complete quest faster and gain more benefits. This can sometime result in players looting fast. Also when you are training alone, you will most probably have the ALT key lock on and loot every single item that you see on the ground immediately. So testing of bots by dropping items to let him loot would be done only if you are not thinking right.
Anyone who thinks that this is a tedious process is correct, it's even hard to execute with mobs all around you. But thats what a few players and myself have been doing every morning while most people are sleeping. So hope everyone can also do it with us.
Last but not least, hope all the info in this post will help everyone get rid of botters and make Sg's A3 server one of the best Bot-Free servers around. If we achieve such reputation, news shall spread like wildfire and i guess tons of real gamers will flood in meaning more $$$ for igames also lol

Advise that hopes to help those who are straying
My advise to those who wish or are even thinking of trying out botting is this....
1. Note the fact that this game may be going P2p soon and the GMs are now taking action faster then before. I am sure the botting situation is now in Critical Condition and i can see high response from the GM team as we speak. So think twice before you even visit those site.
2. Bot sites mostly have keyloggers or web pop ups. Each time you visit those site, your computer may be infected by ad/spy wares which will mostly effect your bandwidth permanently unless you know how to clean them. And i do stress that you guys have to understand that those are not virus, so your virus scan can't do a thing about them.
3. There is no point getting to high lvls for revenge or so and end up being hated as a botter and eventually going towards the path of pking which you can never be proud of, of cos eventually your account will still be ban as GMs for sure will catch up to you with the help of the community exposing your dirty deeds. If you want revenge train hard and take your revenge where ppl will cheer for you for your hardwork.
4. Finally it's about you, yourself and you again. For me, i will always stick to playing the game with my hands. Nothing beats being recognised as a player who plays well. Being mock in the game for botting by almost everyone without knowing their faces may sux big time at times. Even thou some of you may claim that you don't care, but do you really mean it, don't lie to yourself k? One fine day you may end up having coffee with your Camp mates, Colleagues and end up talking about A3, the rest can proudly tell their character nick with pride but can u?
Hope the above will turn those who may wanna try botting to around to the path of the light instead for yourself and for those friends around you. Let's make this game not just for you but enjoyable for everyone else too."
