You still don't get it, do you? How about the plain fact that 2 people can independently arrive at the same conclusion? According to u that means every time someone discovers something they have to search the entire frigging forum to ensure it wasn't brought out before. Sounds like the same scumbag patent companies in the US who file very generic sounding patents and then try to sue larger cos. like Google or Amazon for 'violation'. (Amazon has a 'patent' for the 'shopping cart' found in ecommerce sites-technically every ecommerce site would violate this patent; unfortunately that didn't prevent them from getting it cos no one understands software patents anyway.)
Theres a difference between pure copy pasting-as in the darkstone case-and someone relating one's experience about something.
In the Darkstone thread, I said if you have nothing else to add, might as well just link to the original article-and write about YOUR experiences instead.
For that matter, I've written a comprehensive guide for archers on where to find particular creeps on each map. This is again common information that anyone who does quests can discover. I'm not running around claiming I wrote about it first !!
Why're u getting your panties in a bunch over this? Why don't u see the intent behind the post? If someone is blatantly claiming to have invented/discovered whatever you claim to have done before-then I fully support you. How exactly is IC profiteering from having posted the same info(JUST THE INFO, MIND YOU), or how exactly does her writing it there in anyway negatively affect you?! Or do you have sole copyright over writing about features found on private servers?
