I have a few questions so please help out best you can. I just started btw too.
1. How do you cure your shue and where can you buy a new one?
2. I'm only like level 5, should I still be fighting Memorias or move up because for some reason, when I try to fight the farther up guys, I almost get my butt handed to me.
3. How exactly do you do skills? I read the thing in help but it just confused me.
4. How do I use like a topaz, ruby and whatever else on my weapon? Don't you put those with your weapons somehow?
5. What exactly are lore points and can they be used?
Am I doing something wrong?

Okay, lets get things sorted out!Zakloveschelsea wrote:I have a few questions so please help out best you can. I just started btw too.

1) Remember the following keys-
F1,1-Replenish your HP
F2,2-Replenish your MP
F3,3-Replenish your shue's HP (always consumes only 1 potion)
Also-buy shue feed from a healer and feed your shue (drop it on your shue) once a week or it will die of hunger. (The SP graph shows how much hunger it has)
2) -Do the memora quest-try kartarians if you can (those are tough). Your best bet is to go in a party with similar low lvl players. Then it's easier, plus you get experience and level up faster. Till about lvl 10 or so, keep retaking quests from Nerrmar or Torrbier (depending if you're frm quanato or temoz)
3) When u find a skill scroll that you can use, right click it to 'learn' the skill. Then press S (or look for the icon at the bottom) to bring up the skills window.
The skill tray at the top can be used to quickly access skills. Press (1) and (2) on the extreme right to toggle the 2 sets of skills you can use.
For quick access to skills, drag em from the skill window to a slot in the tray. Press the shortcut key corresponding to the skill (it appears when u hold mouse over a skill in the tray)
To use a skill, rightclick. You haven't mentioned what character you've got, but as an example, if u are a holy knight and want to use 'chross hash' ( a sword attack) just right click on the monster instead of left clicking it.
4) To use stones on your weapon, first unequip it and place it in inventory. Then drop teh stones on it to enhance it. If the weapon can be enhanced, you will see the effect in the description. The enhancement is as follows-
Sapphire-ice attack
Ruby-fire attack
Topaz-Lightning attack
If you are a mage-it is important to put these jewels in your staff otherwise you won't be able to cast elemental magic.
Lore: Lore points are what you get on quest completion. Lore has many uses-you can adjust your stats, reduce parole (timeout penalty for killing other players), and there are minimum required lore levels for doing special quests, forming a knighthood, changing towns etc.
Lore is something that people often ignore...but something really needed at high levels. One's lore also serves to indicate how much effort one has put into the game for questing-if you spend too much time only leveling up with high level players, you will have very little lore to show for it.

There was one thing I was wondering about. I watched other people fight monsters and they were slashing/attacking it really fast compared to me and they were like the same level. What I mean is, I watched them and they were hitting the monster like 4 times before I'd hit it once. What's up with that? I'm a warrior btw.
