The obsession with mounted items

I don't understand why some people seem to EXCLUSIVELY want mounted items-be it armor or weapons. It doesn't matter to them if the item in question has nothing extra besides mounting. For example, if you get a 10% mounted armor with no options, what use is it to you when you lvl up to the actual unmounted str/dex requirement?

I've had tons of good stuff with options-raise critical hit/evasion, raise hp/mp absorption, additional attack/defense etc-but nobody buys them. Reason?
Noobs want mounted!!!
If you wear mounted-you are actually wearing something u shudn't be-because your str/dex is still not upto scratch. And I personally feel it's a waste of money paying the extra premium for mounting-especially when theres nothing else redeemable about the item.

I've been asked for mounted G7...by level 5x archers!! WTF do u want mounted G7 for? Why can't you be content with a decent G5 suited to your level, with good options on it?
If it were upto them, they'd want 2000% mounted Petra armor (G10 bow archer), so that they can strut around town with it!

Bottomline-Mounting is fine...but don't make it a single handed obsession. Be patient and lvl up to the required amount before wearing stuff.

That being said, I'm using a 10% mounted G7 bow (which was loaned to me by the way)-and in another 3 levels I will anyway qualify for G7.
I have the full G7 set-all unmounted, all with great options on them.

Noobs want only mounted!!!
then they get all excited and try to pk the higher lvl guys thinking they r all high and mighty.
tht way i think darksoul is doin a gud job.
and honestly acc to me 75% of the warriors r mounted!!
i think all the ones below 100 dont feel like playing and wanna become like carl and warman.
Guys mounting is fine if ur 3-4 lvls away from reqd. level but seriously dont get excited.level up the right way and use unmounted stuff, u will save tons of money.

cuz i have maintained never to use mounted stuff as the high lvl warriors had told me at tht time to avoid buying since u end up spending lot of money.
neways i still maintain tht mounted stuff is really not tht gud in the long run

Dude you don't get the point. I'm not against mounted items per se. But if you insist on only wanting mounted, and will pass up a good item just because it's NOT mounted-then thats a dumb thing to do.

I wrote this cos it SUCKS to be stuck with real good items cos ppl are too noobish to buy!!
Ask me..I had a great sallyrir set (G5 bow archer) that stayed with me for like a month, cos all only wanted mounted!!
