What does blessing mean?

Just looking for clarification. From what I read in forums it is my understanding that items with "blessings" in their description are not any better in offense or defense than non blessings items with the same stats. If an item has the word "blessings" in its description it means that there is a greater chance of success when upgrading the item. Am I correct? If so what is the chance of success of blessed items vs not blessed items?

well higher lvl gear is a real pain is upgrade because at lvl 5 u need a master stone or juego to take it to the next lvl and if it fails the item will degrade to lvl 1. I've wastes about 20-30 upgrades alone on my body armor trying to make it lvl 6 before putting blessing on it and finally getting it to lvl 6. I coulda saved alot of UJs if i added bless alot earlier.

Its absolutely crap.

I put blessing on my 7.5 weapon by spending 11mil.

Then i waste exactly 60 ugrade jewels and an amazing munber of master stones and juego's.

Guess wht my weapon is still lvl 5.

So basically Blessing is useless

or mayb it has to do something wit the success rate of craftitng!!

I made my armour lvl 7!!!

...tht's the good part!!

It came back to 1 when i went for another lvl!!
