Cant convert the screenshot

GMs,Ive been asking guidelulu abt converting a .end image to .jepg
I was asked to follow the below steps

1]Right click on the file
2]Choose 'Open with'
3]Open in Paint
4]Save as .jepg

I tried this and got an error saying that 'Paint cannot read this file.This is not a valid bitmap file or the format is not supported'.Ive tried opening in photoshop CS2,ACDsee,etc....None work. I keep updating the windows patches. Still it dosent work. Plz tell me how to post convert a screenshot
