Stop Using Gods to Promote Ur Events

Post by Thezeus »

First of all the Event is OK.

But, It is disgusting to see A3 utilizing a holy festival such as Ganesh Chaturthi for propagating its events. Have people at A3 lost its creativity or they do want to cash in on Festive Ocassion ? Just like other Companies. Game or no Game, Plz. leave GOD out of all these things. They are not saleable commodities. They may be commodities for a few but for millions they r still a thing of reverence and great respect.

Event organization is a good thing. But events which are based on Religious Festivals, should be avoided at all costs.

This is not Europe or America where GODS are drawn on Commodes or in Latrines or worn on Asse* Dont try to copy their culture and actions.

In one of the previous posts, GM had issued a warning that strict action will be taken against those who involve religion, caste or creed in games. Whatever may be the context that time, I would like to see wat they think about it???????

Also, U people talk of giving "Chanda" to the Ganesh Celebrations. I would like to bring to your notice, that NO ONE NEEDS CHANDA FROM U PEOPLE. PEOPLE WHO HAVE THE RESPECT TOWARDS RELIGION KNOW HOW TO CELEBRATE EVEN WITHIN WHATEVER LITTLE THEY HAVE.

INFACT u can save the CHANDA for urself so we can have a GOOD AND LAGFREE Gaming Experience
Its rumoured that many goodies are being given out by the Lord Ganesha himself in Hellmarsh at times. Look out !!! If you are lucky enough you may find yourself a UJ in your inventory.

And what the hell was the need to involve gods name in this sentence. Does it show that the people in A3 have lost all their creativity or ideology for promoting an event. Sick People Indeed !!! Dont STOOP SO LOW Plz.

It also means that there will be a special Navaratri Event too on the board where some other map will be giving UJ's or ny other drops, by the blessing of some Goddess. Plz. cut this madness short. Dont organize an event just because u have to organize.

I Boycott this event and would like others also to Boycott such events which are based on Religious Flavor.

Well i also scanned entire text of event when i saw that event. I too had thought they might have used Gods as item drop or something which indeed would have been disgusting. But here i do have to give credit to Admin team that they have taken due precautions while designing the event.

So far as encashing a festival is concerned, television channel show celabrations, garment shops sell their wares, service providers like cellphone companies sell ringtones and music companies sell their albums. As a matter of fact half of those doing those puja are commercialised. So whats wrong with A3 doing an event based on festival.

It would involve religion if they say that only a particular religion people will be allowed to participate. I dont see how this event as involving religion when there is scope for designing event for festivals based on other religions.

IC.

I agree with IC, if you would want to call it propaganda then so be it but it's all around you if you open you eyes.

Also, religion is a very tochy subject which I do not like to get involve in any conversations about but all I can say is that if you dont like it, then simply stay away. Am sure everyone has there own opinions and beliefs and there is no one way to practice what you believe in.
