From my experience in sg server, this method of ratio pumping of str/dex/int points are for those who prefer balance along the way of lvling. However, its not the best, not for me personally.
For me i would rather lets say example:
Current str 300 dex 200
Next grade require str 400 dex 300
Instead of pumping both str n dex in the order, i instead will pump only 1 category at a time. Meaning i will max my str to 400 first, before i begin to start pumping on dex. This way thru out my lvl process, i hav the maximum push to my attack power. Thats the logic behind it. For those who wan the maximum push of defense first, u can pump dex all the way to 300 first before u begin to pump str.

SG A3
Hi Djedmundarch,
Although I know that you are an HK on the SG server, but need to ask you one question about blood mages.
If a dex mage goes blood from lvl 91, whats the ideal level after which she should again distribute points in Int/Dex. This question is strictly for PvM and boss killing.
Suppose if a dex mage is blood from lvl 91 to 120, then again goes normal after 120, will she be able to hunt alone comfortably in higher maps at lvl 130 (which are yet to be launched in India) like Tao, Peushinnerr, Syvave where the max attack of creeps are in the range of 450 to 1450. This is again assuming availability of PS points like Robust lvl 5 & Armoury lvl 2 and no SS.
Personally, I am bored with my G7 outfit and would like to wear G8 & G9 someday, but don’t know if I will be able to survive in higher maps with only 30 lvls of blood.
THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS IDEAL LEVEL DUDE, SINCE WE DON'T HAVE P.S. GOING AND HUNTING IN THE HATREL MAPS WILL TAKE A LOTTA TIME BECAUSE OF A NOOBY DAMAGE OF 350-600 OF A BLOOD MAGE FROM 90 ONWARDS, EACH MONSTERS HP VARIES FROM 15K TO MORE THAN 70K IN DIFFERENT MAPS, LVLING THERE WILL LOW DAMAGE WILL OBVIOUSLY REQUIRE PARTYING, PLUS SKILLS LIKE ROBUST HELP A LOT, BUT THE SHEER LOSS OF DEFENCE N HP TANK AT CHANGING YOUR STAT FROM BLOOD TO NORMAL WILL BE KINDA AWKWARD WHEN U EXPERIENCE IT FIRST HAND, BUT IF YOU THINK PROPERLY, THIS GAME WAS MADE SO WITH KEEPING IN MIND ALL SHORTCOMINGS OF DIFFERENT CHARACTERS AND THEREFORE PROVIDING SOLUTIONS FOR EACH OF THEM.
SO IN THE END IF YOU PLAY ANY CHARACTER AT ALL, IT'S MORE OF YOUR SKILL THAT COMES INTO THE PICTURE WHEN YOU PLAY.
perhaps u didn't understand what I meant. I am not asking that whether I should go back from blood to normal. I am asking that how many lvls of blood with PS will be sufficient to survive in higher maps (whenever they are available )
Lets see what I mean...
If any mage is blood from 91 to 120, then she has sufficient blood to hunt all the bosses in the existing maps apart from the Red. So if any mage goes blood for the sole purpose of PvM, then 30 lvls of blood is sufficient for existing maps. That mage can start distributing points in a normal way from lvl 120 onwards. It will surely give an advantage as attack will increase.
But since I dont know about the creeps in higher maps (practical knowledge not theory), thats why I asked that how many lvls of blood is ideal for higher maps. (given that Robust 5 is equal to almost 16.5 lvls of blood)
Personally I feel that points should be pumped in vitality only with the purpose of surviving in any map. Once the mage is able to survive in all maps and tank bosses, its time to distribute points in normal way.
WELL IF YOU GO AHEAD AND PUMP POINTS INTO VITALITY, IT LITTLE ACTS ON YOUR DEFENCE, ALL YOU HAVE IS ONE HELL OF A HUGE HP AND SUCKER DEFENCE, IN HIGHER MAPS THERE ARE CERTAIN PLACES WHERE MOBS ARE HUGE AND CERTAIN PLACES WHERE THEY ARE LOOSELY PLACED, HAVING A HUGE HP TANK WON'T BE MUCH OF USE THERE AS YOU WILL BE ABLE TO SURVIVE THERE BUT WASTING 50K HP POTIONS IN UNDER 10 MINUTES WILL BE EXTREMELY HEAVY ON YOUR POCKET. THE POINT IS YOU WILL SURVIVE WITH LOTS OF BLOD POINTS BUT YOUR CHANCES OF LEVELING IN PROPER TIME WITHOUT A PARTY IS UNLIKELY.
DEFENCE IS NEEDED, AND PASSIVE SKILLS ARE DESIGNED IN SUCH A WAY THAT ALL CHARACTERS NO MATTER WHAT WILL SURVIVE AND HUNT IN THOSE MAPS.
SO IT'S UPTO YOU, STAY BLOOD, YOU WILL LEVEL AND BE FINE, GO DEX, YOU WILL LEVEL AND BE FINE.
Firstly, before i address zordan's questions, just wanna thank dred for correcting that i am an archer - yes i am lol
Zordan,
the answer to your question is - i cant tell u whether which lvl is best to revert back, however, i wan u to note the following:
In terms of game system and equipment, this game basically works with grades. Not level. Like u mention you are wearing g7.
I have seen a mage, using grade 7 int set (Yrsa) and being at close to lvl 150-160 with max robust i think, he was able to tank 8-9 Parm map bosses (Hatrel release maps)
Now, to let you know the significance of the boss lvls, heres a rough guide:
When i kill:
R4 boss - i just punch him to death
C3 S2 snake boss - i use around 2k or less MP or i can just normal arrow to kill
S3 S4 - have to use uw to kill him, normally takes up about 3k mp or less
However, when i face:
Parm boss, Dene Boss, Vforest boss: These boss are way higher in hp and defense. When killing them, i would at least need 6k or slightly less mp.
Now, as you can see from this comparison, comparing the parm boss that the g7 mage is tanking 9 at one shot, parm boss have about 3 times more hp then a normal s3 boss.
So g7 is not all bad as its easy to make g7 20-30% mount which gives you additional blood.
I did speak to that mage once, he mentioned that if there is a chance, he would rather have 30% mounted g8. I think most probably due to the higher defense.
So for blood mages, its either G7 mounted or G8 mounted. No point going g9, you won't have enough HP for anything before lvl 161. Other then that, there are standard lvls that can use G7 mount n G8 mount, you just have to take the normal G7 n G8 stats, minus 30% from it, then see when you can use it etc.
So i hope the above helps u to understand that, mount for blood is the essential key here, be it G7 or G8, the stats are standard, int or dex is still your preference. So now its time u decide which grade then you will know what lvl. =) Either one of these grade will have no problem in sywave once you pass lvl 130
