As per my understanding couple of reasons.

1. There is a huge recurring cost of being a MMORPG service provider
a. Development
b. DataCenter – space/bandwidth/personnel
c. Servers
d. OS & Game development software licensing
e. GMs
f. Forums
I can keep on going with the list. But the point is all these add up to a big amount.

2. Understand that this is a business. The Company providing you the services has to make some profit. So far, being in Beta, and letting us play for free, and haven’t made a single paise from us.

3. MMORPGs are big in other parts of the world, but they haven’t been so successful in Indian subcontinent mainly because of bandwidth availability! So the companies are kind of thinking it over about whether Indian market has any potential in the first place.

4. The moment A3 goes P2P (pay to play) I wonder how many of us will be left over, and how many new customers they will get?

5. So, it is quite natural that any mmorpg provider would keep minimum support for India, hence thing would delay considerably.

Be patient till you have to pay 250Rs a month to play, then we might go back to all the cries and shouts.

i agree with whatever val has to say.. it costs running a server and we all cannot compare a3 with the tpyes of WoW and keep pestering them to give better support and open new maps. I dont see any need to curse. We are not consumers as such and we are surely not paying. Everthing as of now if free, so does complaining at the top of ur voice make any sense?

I too get these shots of insanity at time, but hey "SHITTT happens"... lol..

ALL A3 SERVERS STARTED WITH A BETA PERIOD N WENT PAID INTO HATREL! BUT THE DIFFERENCE IS THAT THEY MANAGED THE SERVERS WELL THAT THE PLAYERS NEVER COMPLAINED ABOUT NEW MAPS!

HERE.......... WE HAVE SOO INCOMPETENT GMs THAT THEY NOT ONLY MESSED UP BUT LOST MANY PLAYERS WHO WERE THE PIONEERS! THE GMs HERE CANNOT MANAGE THIS GAME, FIRE THEM!!!

abey harami ke pille, dou know in korea and other far east countries (with which u r comparing a3 india) have more than 100 mmorpg goin on, that itself shows depth of that market, hence companies dont have to worry abt getting players when they go p2p. here its diff , they will not get player when they get into p2p, so have to keep cost at min, or they will be fired frm sify.

go n read economics u *censored* *censored* dredpker.
