when u use blacksmiths services

the NPC relationship/favour comes into play to decide your success. if u have high enough relationship and have maestro, there is possibility that even crafted items like g9 will have options like bless/mount. this has been confirmed by the GM

success rate is different for each combination/crafting. some recipes have higher success rate while some have remote chance of success.

your Relationship points can be increased by doing quests from that NPC(takes a lot of questing and needs patience), this also improves when u sell items to that NPC.

hope that is a more direct answer (instead of lamishly buliding up suspense with "favours favours favours" bah!!!!!!!!!!!!! , these attention cravers)
