Incident 1:

one find day recently

Some GMjirest comes up to me and says

"Hello. We have received a complaint against you that someone is trying to hack ur ID. We GMs want to make ur ID hack proof. and for this we need your ID and secret answer."

Was obvious as to what he was trying to do.

i pmed Guidemax ingame
and told about this

All response i get was
"Don't worry, he can't do anything"

The point is i am not worrying, i am worried about the people who already had given the ID n Pass/Secret answer

After 1-2 mins, since no other reply from Guidemax

i spent 200k warning other players through Public-shout (job which i assumed the Guide wud do after my information to him) about this con-artist. I get 3 people saying that they received messages from him
and 1 of them already had given his ID n Secret answer.

If the Guide had acted promptly, may be u cud trace from which IP it was being played from and who will play from that afterwards.
Because , it cud have given a clue as to who hacker may have been(i know it's tough because , noone can pinpoint because of dynamic IPs and Shared computers at cafes)

Incident 2:

I asked simple question of what is the maximum elemental defense i can get on lvl 5 Laginurr armour(Because i wanted to max the elements on it).

Response from Guidemax: "We have no information on that"

If Guides can't help me out on such simple thing which a seasoned player knows well, then......

sometimes don't even receive response from them even after repeated PMs

I know the Guides work in shifts, some have quite good knowledge, but, others give such replies, please try to improve this.

Good points Prem.

I think many players can relate to this, and echo similar findings.

I remember asking if I make my Lofn a Kerr Lofn will it lose the added attack attribute, the guide in Quanto did not know when I asked to check I got no reply, and when I asked the guide in Temoz he said it might? In the end I asked my friend Cyberdevil who told he it would and reduce it to level 1

I know at the end of the day it is easy to constantly criticise people. But the guides seem sometimes to ignore many day to day occurrences like………

People trying to sell and buy characters, you see this many times on normal and public shouts, people swearing and abusing others, very childish at times, we all like a bit of banter but some people push the boat out to far.

I wish the guides be more observant and warn these offenders, at the end of the day this is just a game to be played for fun and enjoyment

The guides do a thankless role maybe if they had a bit more power on the decision-making they would act with more purpose.

Rant over hehehehe

Well said Prem....

I have also met with similar incidents.... When Fennyhood's char was hacked, the hacker was playing his char for a few days(3 days).... We repeatedly informed the Guides that the Hacker is playing his char.... Plz trace his IP address or do something abt it... At the end of all this the Guides gave their same old macro... "We r not supposed to deal with hacking issues... Plz write a mail to support"....

AGREED... But The point of concern for all of us was that the hacker playing Fenny scammed a lot of money and items from other's using his name... Then we had to initiate and send public shouts not to trade with Fenny's char.... Not only did he scam stuff from other's... He also stole fenny's bow which was of very high lvl and all his other G8 stuff (which he had got from bossing).... If the guides wud have acted a little swiftly probably they cud have traced the hacker, saved alll the stuff and made their job easier to retrieve the account....

There was another instance where a char by name Fennny was asking for other's ID(only) using Fenny's name.... We again informed the guides but nothing seened to be happening as we saw the same guy asking for one of my other cafe mate's ID the next day... Then we again initiated another Public shout requesting players not to give their ID and pass to this char...

P.S. Let me let every1 know... Fenny was and is the only guy in our cafe who nvr shared his id with ne1... He is very very possesive and proud abt his char.... He nvr let's ne1 even touch his char.... So... Plz don't say it's fault or something...

When a impostor is reported to a guide we simply drop them from the server and ban the user ID permanently. Sending a world shout used to be the habit, but it was misused gravely by many of you in the name of fun.

About elemental limits on an item, its a core statistic and you refer to it as a simple thing. Remember there are 4 classes, each have sub classes. They all have 10 grades and eac having 10 levels. Obviously it has to be a big Dbase. The Guide is simply to help you with basic and average gameplay issues and doubts. More like a LIVE FAQ. For such detailed info about the game pls be patient. Our very own advanced guide will be made available within a week.

As for Fenny it is nice you reported it to the guides but just imagine things from their angle for minute. They face nearly 10 different ppl in a couple of minutes. Atleast one of them claims his char is hacked. BAN this char or Release that character. Is it even close to being Realistic if we expect a guide to act on such information.

In this respect... I've a suggestion... (If it is possible) Increase the no. of guides ingame... I guess that wud help ease the pressure on the current guides...

Players can even refer that for all important thing and more.
