Hi to all the players of A3.I recently got this game and installed it,on the first day when i tried running the game the dialog box "Project A3 Updater" poped up and then after a minute or so it said "connection refused" and i had to quit the game.Then when i tried the next day it connected properly and i played the game for like 3 days and again from the past 2 days the same old "connection refused" dialog box is popping up.Can anyone please tell me whats wrong here?I even gave this issue to the sify people but i got no reply from them. .Plz help me guys.


P.S.:- by the way my charecters name is EVANESCENCE..

hey dude..........

i think ur connection mest b slow.............or either ur connection is not providin u enough speed 4 u to log on............this can b dangerous cause this leads to lag in the game............n thts a big prob if u are not in town at tht moment...........so i suggest tht u change ur net package to a higher speed...........or other wise bug ur internet connection guys till they solve the problem............

thts the best i can think abt dude.......

This prob does seem to happen to me also
But its only when my conn is about to disconnect (im on dialup )
So bandwidth mite b a prob also as he stated. I dont no, but thas wat i think.
Usually on my pc it is fixed when i reconnect or restart.
Cant think of nethin else.

BTW lag IS a prob on most connections ( xcept 4 the few lucky), but usually xperience less lag from 3 30- 5 30 in the noon and after 2-2 30 in the night

thanks a lot for ya help guys but still i cant get this problem solved i dont know whats wrong today i played A3 for like 3hours then later i got dc and when i tried logging in back the same freakin' connection refused message popped up.I am really confused,i got sify broadband (as the game recommends cable of course ) when i play the game it rarely lags but the main issue is what the hell should i do to avoid this connetion refused message???

I got the same problem.. and the message I get is Cannot get Version information from the Server. Even i got Sify broadband to play this game... near 0 lag but I get this connection probelm often.

I only get that connection when I forget to put my ethernet wire in...haha!! I don't think u make the same mistake....me <<<<<<slow. I happened one other time but that was b/c my all my bandwidth was used up dling. So then maybe u need more bandwidth or the server is lagged out. The longest i had that prob was for 30min so after a while just try again

4 The time and date when you got the error messages if possible.

yeah zchief this is really strange and about the message what u get i.e. "cannot get Version info from server" that happens to me when i am not at all connected to the internet but this "connection refused" message is really strange even when i am connected to the net this message comes, when i try Quake 3 arena at the same time it works smoothly but not this A 3!!! lolz

well these are my specifications according to your order gmfirst:-

1.My internet packgae is Sify boradband (unlimited access) and the ISP was V.V. Communications

2.They said i would get 256 kbps but since i am outta their range i am getting only 11 kbps.I dont think this is a major problem coz my friend has only 6kbps and yet he gets the connection(but lags a lot,who cares at least he gets the connection lolz)

3.I am from hyderabad and in hyderabad i stay in srinagar colony.

4.Well it has been a little over a week now since i bought this game the first whole day it said "connection refused" then the next 3 days the game connected and it was smooth then again for 2 days "connection refused"then the next day it worked fine and now again from 2 days the same bad old connetion refused message is coming.

well those are my details and by the way can u give me any number where i can get on phone help coz listening and talking the problem is better than reading and writing the problem lolz........

Pls confirm that the speed you have mentioned (11 Kbps)
is your transfer rate and not your download rate.
