- Are the "ingame videos" prerenderd ones Or realtime videos !!
- Is it confirmed that the Sound(on/off) option is the only problem concerning these videos ??
- Are there anything else you're not telling us .. maybe the shadow option should be "on" LOL .. am serious .. not really ..sort of !!

The ingame videos are more like cutscenes, and they use the same rendering engine as the rest of the game, i.e. don't expect them to look like the A3 promotional trailers that are there on the website.
So far, the sound problem seems the only thing-I went for a special quest in party and I didn't face any problem cos my sound was turned on.
AFAIK, there's no other issues with shadows or anything-if your system can handle shadows, keep it on.
