Regarding Ingame Video

Hi!

I am Solarin ingame and i wish to bring a bug to your attention. Yesterday Ankeetsinha, Timekeeper, Alexander and myself set out to do Special Quest (1-1). We talked to the npc, entered the room and killed the Hemmerds till we got a key, then we were proceeding to the second floor where there is an ingame video, but the video dosen't play, instead I get a blank screen and the game client crashes.
I then get a message from an old player stating that the "sound" option must be turned on in order to accomplish anything ingame which plays a "video", I talk to Guidemax but he says it's my system's fault and I am the one responsible for the client crash.
Well here is my system configuration:-

AMD Athlon, MMX, 1.2 Ghz
OS :- Microsoft Windows XP™ Build 2600, Service Pack 2
1 Gb DDR RAM
GeForce 4 MX, 128 Mb With nVidia Driver Version 84.21 [The latest as of now]
More than 15 Gb of free space on the drive that A3 is installed on, plus a pagefile of size 2Gb

This is what your website recommends:
CPU: P III 1GHz
MEMORY: 512 MB RAM
VIDEO
NVIDIA: GeForce 2 or higher
ATI: Radeon 8500 or higher
3dfx: Higher than Voodoo 4

My computer obviously adheres to each and every single of your configuration, therefore trying to stake a claim that the fault is on my side would be considered an act of stupidity.

Also I searched the whole forum under the ids
ccpraveenj
ccyuvraj
gmfirst
gmdiable
admin

and found that there exists not a single post that mentions that ingame videos will cause the game client to crash if the "sound" option is disabled. Also I am well aware that whenever a post is edited by a person, there will be a small mesage at the bottom of the post mentioning how many times the post has been edited, but when done by a person with with Administrative priveleges then that message will not be displayed, hence i have taken screenshots of what i searched and the 0 results that i got. I hope you will not edit any of you old posts to refute my claim.

Also to further solidify my claim I undertook the KH making quest and found that the client again crashed when Kwaon was to be killed, which proves that the client will crash when a video plays if the sound option is disabled.

The game should work under all conditions, under all permutations of options the game client has in it's options tab, it is your sole responsibility to make sure that the client will not give any problems if certain options are switched off, since this is not my fault at all but sorely yours due to negligence while testing the game, I want to be compensated for the loss of my Special Quest Scroll whose value at present is approximately 20+ million ingame.

Hope you oblige and compensate and fix this bug.

And yes I have sent a mail to A3 support.

Hi all,

And plz check ur comp before u go for 1-3 coz some comps just restart whever a video clip is goona start coz of the sad graphic card in it.the best way to find out is by givin ur comp a kh quest test if u finish the quest sucessfully without ur computer restarting then ur comp is goood.

Have fun and PKPKPK

Hi,
It doesn't fail due to sad graphics card but it occurs when u keep the sound option off. TRY IT WITH KEEPING OPTION OFF AND ON U WILL GET TO KNOW.

Orin dude, I don't think CROSS qualifies as a Game Manager to give out advice, the fault is entirely on their side as they never forementioned or wrote any where that ingame video will cause the game to crash if sound is turned off!

I posted this in the morning and still no reply!
