Are GM's Serious About Hacking?

Are GM's really serious about Hacking Issues?

Answer is a Big " NO " , Bcoz Many doubts raise & only GM's have to Clarify them.

Point 1: When a Char is hacked & Forums are spammed still GM's doesn't give any Priority .

Point 2: GM's can Trace IP of the Hacker (when char is logged in by hacker) & Punish him, but it doesn't look to happen at all.

Point 3: Very easy method to control Hacking ... In profile details of player account GM can give a option to enter " Date of Birth " & also if the "DOB" Matches with Database then only Profile can be updated , But GM's are least concerned about this.

Last but not the least

Point 4: Very Important Point : Main Reason for Hacking is Real Cash , GM avoid to look to it.

ROC Rules are not only meant for players but its the duty of GM's to see that no one dare to break them

And who has the duty of taking care of their accounts? 90% of the hack issues happen because of player's inability to secure your account.

This post is made to enlighten the seriousness of Hacking Issue & GM's POSITIVE attitude towards this Issue.

We expect GM's to address this issue in a very Rigid manner.

Players blaming GM's and vice versa can further damage the spirit of the game, Hence
I once again request GM's on behalf of all a3-india players to implement those 4 points which i have mentioned earlier in this post.
Point 3: Very easy method to control Hacking ... In profile details of player account GM can give a option to enter " Date of Birth " & also if the "DOB" Matches with Database then only Profile can be updated , But GM's are least concerned about this.
If the Point 3 is implemented i am 100% sure Hacking will find its dead end.

As of now we don't have a dedicated support team who looks after issues. Hence delay is expected.

We already do that. But since many low profile characters are involved, there is nothing to the benefit of the player.

Useless when the Hacker actually knows your password. All he needs is the stuffs. Why would he bother changing the profile details anyways?

We are already on a watchout for Rulebreakers.

Making Inferences & Drawing Conclusions ....This dialogue is on very Optimistic Track.

GM's positively reacted for ( 3 out of 4) points .

Let me explain my Point no 3 : in a very interesting way.

I request GM to make "Date Of Birth" field as complusary while changing profile or password.

The very 1st thing a Hacker does when he cracks a password of an account is "Changing of Password " of that account

The next very step is to login and scam all the stuff.

When GM's implements the Point 3: , GM's are restricting a Hacker to change the password of that account .

Gm's Wrote

I agree to some extent but,
Is Hacking done only for stuff ? i really wonder.
In that case only Characters with G10 & Uniq's should be hacked .

Latest case :: Is "Backwithpower" char hacked only for stuff ?.
Backwithpower char was hacked & sold to some other guy in Real cash (RC).

Ground reality is that their is a huge demand of high level characters & most of the accounts are hacked for characters and they are sold again.
we can see shouts in game like " S>> 160 lvl mage naked pm me "

Coming to my point i.e Point no 3: If "Date of birth" is made complusory for updating a profile, then no one can change the email id of that account unless they enter correct "Date of Birth" and account can be save to some extend.

Instead of the Date of Birth enforcement, it is better to encourage players to use the A3 Mobile Authenticator.

A3 Mobile Authenticator is a Android based Mobile and most of the players dont have it.

Secondly its little complicated (not user friendly) to use , Every time you need to access Internet & get authenticated for password.

In case if the application fails , No password can be generated & again there is a need to contact a3support for solution its time consuming job.

One more limitation is Code Generated has to be used within 60 seconds thats very disturbing.

Last but not least If the mobile is lost it may be misused for sure.

The likelyhood of you loosing the mobile and someone else getting it (who plays a3) and hacking your account is very less.

For everything there are drawbacks and we consider the Authenticator to stand upto our expectations and would be our last attempt towards Hack proofing accounts.

Indians have a very Strong Mind Set & its very hard to convince them.

I am Happy to bring this discussion & sorry that i couldn't convince GM's .

Happy Hacking :!:

Hmmm even i didnt knew tht backwidpower i.e my char was sold for 3.2k naked. Hmm i had the best set of the server, they might have hacked for stuffs and for the char but the main thing is they need rc to play in cafe as hackers wont be having rc.... well suzi ur idea is also good and the mobile authorization(idea of Gms) is also good. either ur idea should be excecuted or Gm's idea.
