Find out what I think .. read the blog!

Post by Cybele »

:D I have started a new blog mainly as a guide for myself and other new gamers, at http://projecta3.blogspot.com/ Check it out and comment!

I will be blogging for (almost) all days of the beta- Heres the first post to kick off with ...

New Game , New Blog.
Okay, so I received the A3 game box today with (pretty!) postcards and calendars and goodies and stuff. Mum didn't say anything but raised eyebrows at me the implication being- I am SO screwed if this affects my grades. Muahaha. I love how she can convey whole speeches with just a look.

Anyway , losing no time, I opened it logged on and set it up. And promptly ran into my first hurdle - Registration. The things is, the A3 India activation site allows you to sign in with your existing Sify userid but ONLY IF the id doesn't contain any weird characters ... like underscore. Which my id had.So spent a couple of minutes haggling with that until finally accepted a space between my names for a substitute. After that it refused to accept my name as a alphabetical character for some reason ( I mean ,seriously , wtf?? somebody needs to work on the coding here). Plus ,Sify being the slackers that they are, have forgotten to update the Beginners Guide so its in a state of transition with actual proofreaders marks in red.Tch, Tch.

Game looks impressive and it loaded fine on my machine, without the long draaaawwwwn out process that was so common in Priston Tale. Got to the login screen ; picked server blah blah. Then the fun part : Creating a character. At which point I decided to look up the Classes and see their strengths etc online. Silly me! A Google search showed me that there was no English Guide or site apart from a few review at IGN or mmporg.com.

I will be posting pictures as I make my way so beware, its a pretty image intensive blog. Apart from that, please leave your comments on how this helped your (or not) or whether you are going through the same thing that I am. I would love to hear from other A3 gamers.

I've written down the names and jobs of the various npc's in quanato.
I'll post it up tonight, i think it would really help reduce the trouble people wil have with those irritating quests. (only the begining ones in the town, don't know about the special quests)

Somebody should do it for Temoz as well.

Yeah I know I have been slacking.. :-P
Trying to get the permission from the people who wrote up the tips and the guides out here. I do want this to be more than just me ranting on about lags ya know? ;-) Because your posts on the forum are not going to be around forever, once there are more people around. I might make it a community blog if people are interested. I just want to get everyone into a great community so that we have FUN while playing instead the of the boring lvl, lvl , all the time. Some place to host stories or fanart or some nice signatures people have made. So if all those reading this help get the word around it would be great. Thanks.
