well , the merc passives of a HK merc ( evasion , fortune & anti magic ) and an Archer merc ( precision , fatality & hustler ) also affect the player . but what do the passives of a Mage merc do for a player ? do they affect the player in any way or not ?
please enlighten me about this . . .

If the target is blinded, or stuck ... it helps player in saving some HP

but i think only archer and hk mercs are aura mercs (dont confuse wid 161+ aura )....
aura(here) means only archer n hk mercs share their passives wid main char ... warrior n mage mercs dont do tht....

Oh! ... I forgot ... Mage mercs give sexyyyy damage.

So, while you deal 400~500 dmg on boss ... Merc will give more than 1K dmg.

So, all you need to do is tank while using BoR n let the merc do the killing part .

well , i guess that the passives of a mage merc dont do anything for a player . but i'm still not convinced . someone told me that the elemental mastery of a mage merc will help the player in epi 3 ( well , cant be checked in a3 india ) . i need more info . . .keep ur views comin' in . . .

yes , i know the damage part . my " guardianangel " is an elemental mage who's almost g9 and she infuriates any & every boss with her damage . . .

LoL... The funniest use of mage merc (ask me i do it)
When i go for collecting wz in r3... i use arch merc... but most think that arch merc hit a little slow as compare to mage merc
Thats why i use mage merc while collecting wz (jaldi maarega to jaldi wz milega)
Also arch merc rests sometimes while hitting monsters (this annoys every1) but mage merc hardly stops while hitting
Moreover... when arch merc's arrows get over... then i use mage merc... coz mage merc doesn't consume any mp nor it require any arrows as it hits "Dhana Dhan Meteor"

That elemental mastery is very helpful... coz i saw Damarcher's mage merc killing hatrel bosses wid g9 staff (that too very easily)

AFAIK, the Mage merc doesnt give any passive bonuses to the player just by being with player. But... u do get Bonuses when u use the merc to hunt.

I am not very sure about the skills of Mage merc... but i guess they are

assuming u're bossing...

1: reducing the elemental defence of the boss( or creep) to 0 (when it triggers, u do more elemental damage and the merc does its bonus damage too)

2: reducing the elemental attack of the boss to 0... (u take lesser damage)

3: blind(???? is this right??- please correct me.) the boss will miss all shots when the this skill is triggered... so... u save hp.
