Joint area attack

Here's a good tip for mages and arrowstorm capable archers (lvl 73+) that are hunting together.
The tip works because both mages and AS archers can deliver their area attack at a distance, unlike HK's necten/demon hunter and warriors' earth pit/freeze, all of which only affect the area surrounding the char.
Both chars should stand a little apart (best is the maximum range of each one's attack), and each one aims at the other one, while other party members can mob. For the mage-the spells could be any of the elemental attacks, since they can all be delivered to a large area at a distance away from the character.
Result? The mobs get confused, keep moving between the 2 chars without attacking either of them, and die faster.
A nice and simple trick shown to me by Cutedevil and Bellona (both 8x mages), though I'm sure other higher mages might be yawning at this now!
