well i quit a month back and started playin w0w and this didnt affect me much! jus gave my charc to a friend to play and ogged in here and then.. but then wht upsets me in the code of conduct they creted... i mean shouldnt this cod be creted before the game... or to be read and accepted before the game.. but instead when u sigh in fr a3 it gives the cod fr sify!! and not a3.. wht the deal with tht?? and yes if we did map hack.. why u guys toook so long to take action??? i agree tht if we did something wrong im willing to pay the price... but then did it really take u guys to figure out the penalty in 3 months after the incident and then use action to show ur power???? and where s there is smoke there is fire... cause we were all clean but then hw did we all learn the map hacks??? no prizes fr guessing who??and the worst part is tht they gt away with it somehw... and i agree with quad when this 1 st incident of map hacking cameinto light they asked us fr proof... but hw can we go to a map tht doesnt exist and take proof???????? 
and as far as the game goes its fun playin the game cause of the close knit community we have here i mean its not like other mmorpgs whre its sucha big world and u wont know anyone.. here its like everyone know anyone... and another thing i noticed was tht now the gms started reading and editing the post and stsring banning now only.... my question is why now??? why all this moderating of forums etc didnt happen before??
and lets face it the players r the ones who make the game.... the ones who give free publicity to the game...the ones who keep the game going..
i still remember the day when my lvl 50 warrior gt hacked and i created an hk and in order to catch up with everyone i used to play till like 2 or 3 in the morning and wake aup at 7 and go to a sify cafe to play till about 11 so tht the regular cafe opens up and i can play there..
before imposing such a huge panalty!! and btw its not a small panalty of -1500% xp when u like 120 or 130 + if the xp ban was given to us at a lower lvl it would be managable to get it to + again... which sane guy would actually sit and try to make it positive...
and i think all the players would agree with me tht we all put out ssweat and blood and not to mention a lot of money into this game...
and with this action i will agree with reexdude post tht it will become a gost town....cause we were the ones who made it interesting.. the wars and stuff.. and when we go into a cafe to log into a3.. and people there would be like oh u so and so.. u look awesome and stuff....cause the way the game started out was witha chain reaction with one fella strting and inviting their friends to join. and if one guys leaves.. here a whole bunch.. i think the whole of bangalore will leave.. i alreaady gt calss frm bangalore players staggging a protest tht if they take it back they will leave with us and the count is like 30-40 odd players and im not exrattiing....and if some of u guys think its an empty traet go ahead,, see wht happens....u dont have to be a nostradamus to predict this future...
and u guys think tht we all started it.. well think again if the server was clean in the 2st place with the gms takin acti0n tht time on the original map hackers... then we also would have remained clean.. as the sayin goes if u cant beat them join them.. i mean whts the use when u lvlin uop day and night fr xp and items and next day poof they come in new set all nice and shiny...
so again endin it off with not a goodbye to a3(cause said bye a lomg time back) but then jus expressing my opinion on the issue.. fell free to post ur views and also correct me if im wrong any where

u forgot to mention one more thing dude the listed players guides the new comers. After lvl 100 only can hack the maps many of the cursed players are played fair upto 100 without leaching. after that also its not big deal to tem to lvl their char . as u said 
insted of -ve exp then can ban our char for the clean game
