Keyboard shortcuts are your friend!
For starters-memorize the following-
Enter-general chat
W-Whisper
T-Party chat
G-KH chat
K-Alliance chat (Thanks for the tip Ohsorry! )

Ok, now to dispense with the balderash and come to the real point of this post-the real great tip that should be engraved in gold and I should get a thousand UJs for :

Press <Esc> after every sentence you type in chat
When you do this, you make the chat window lose focus, so that next time you press those all important 1,2,3 keys, they work as intended and don't end up getting typed in there, while a monster chomps on your *censored*.

Of course, it also pays to be aware of what's going on, if any creeps have stopped next to you to eavesdrop.

& ya seriously when i am chatting it seems like all the creeps want to evesdrop...till they find out i am not talking abt them & they get royally pissed...

One more thing that has me falling off my chair, is watching the squabbles and chatter on alliance chat...specially with Dawn around

mmm... I like to point out one big problem in that pressing Esc, coz I have encounterd it and hope u too will have that problem some time r other.

I use to press Esc when ever I start to attack after chat, sad part is once the Esc got activated twice, and the option screen came up and my mouse pointer was over the reconnet otipn and clicked it when all monster were surrounding me, this all happend in a blink of an eye.

guess u know the result ...... 2% gone.

THAT IS USE F1 F2 AND F3. THEY DO THE SAME FUNCTION AS 1 2 AND 3.

SO YOU CAN CHAT WITHOUT CLICKING ON ANYTHING.

OH YEA REMEMBER THE SHORT CUT KEYS FOR DIFFERENT CHAT BOXES.

AND WHEN YOU ARE DONE WITH CHAT JUST PRESS ENTER ONCE AND THE BOX WILL CLOSE.

HOPE YOU UNDERSTOOD ALL THIS.
