I wouldnt have really bothered but there's still a lil bit of good left in me. So here are a few tips you ought to do before actually going ahead and finding a mod.

About the forums:
1. Make sure all the posters post in the right section. Dont take the pain of moving it if they do it in the wrong one. They need to learn and deleting the post will only teach them.
2. Put up rules against multiple posters. I used to but I had my reasons. Multiple posting doesnt achieve anything. So better set that right too.
3. Put an instant ban against any abuse against race / cast / creed /sex and etc ..
4. Make the General Section cleaner. Its filled with bullshyt like "am hacked" a gazillion times. One looks at that section the second they enter the forums and all such topics will definitely wont interest them but infract drive them away.
5. Limit people's avatar size even when hosted on a remote host to 100x100. Large avatars not only make the forums look bad but also real sucky.
6. Appoint a different color to the Moderator and the Admins. This way it would be easier to recognize them rather than the Mod.Name tag which goes un-notices in many cases. THIS was the reason I even made that BABE MAGNET userbar for Foogy so that the new members will atleast know who's incharge.

There are a lot more changes that can make these forums a better place but I wont waste my time in typing them coz I very well know that even the points I mentioned here are likely to go un-noticed.

About the Mod:
1. Choose some mature dude. Not some kid who freaks out at every small thing.
2. Make sure he understand the point that deleting posts for personal gain is not the class a moderator should maintain.
3. Appoint someone who has the basic knowledge about Moderation and ofcourse the game without which he would be totally useless.
4. Do not choose a Mod based on the Level in the game. Coz I can point out G10 noobs to you. Appoint him based on what he could do to the forums.
5. Now that you've decided to take one from the players, make sure he is a personality that can actually stand up as a leader coz he will be representing the other members and his actions will definitely make a difference to the posters and members in game.
6. Think wise. Act Well!

hey diablo,

we need a ingame guide other than max and lulu , who can come with players and help em out. Another point to note is that he should be available at night time also. Coz yesday i got stuck in arena and i had no choice , except to exit from the game :( :( . Do consider this request also.

Another suggestion ..

Get rid of the number of stickies and announcements ...this way there'll be no place left for other other topics.

Basic Forum maintain should have around 4-5 stickies maximum ...Get rid of the useless ones ..

If there are too many to get rid of htem make an archives section where people can read only and get to see the old but nice threads ..that would be better ...
