Swordies are pure tankers.. At say 150, they can tank around 8-9 chemos easily.
Any HK can tank provided he has good Evasion and Magic Evasion.
And one more thing to remember, DemonHunter is a skill which does Magic Crit on Demon type mobs. All bosses in Hatrel are Demons. So with a good mace(Say a Uni or a Tuath lvl 10), A sword HK can easily finish a boss mob.
