Whenever you kill a creature - You get a lil bit of MP and HP back no matter what . The remaining options are from teh set..

It's strange that you dont get MP. It's just that maybe you didnt realize it yet but you are getting MP too..It's inevitable. Nothing can change that.

Now that is strange.
Do observe the values. They gain might not be big. Just check the values after each kill. Let them attack you.
Check after the last attack and them dying.

There is no possibility that you dont get.
