We do have a problem of crowding in high lvl maps, this degree of congestion in high lvl maps isnt only cuz population size of noobs in the game has increased recently but the incentive of lvling fast, especially now that we have so many mages with sb in s1. Moreover maps like r-1-2-3 are totally forgotten.
Besides GM's should consider for any mmorpg if their is no content added, clients will gradualy loose interest and move on. Let's say the average gamer has done everything there is to do in 2 months. So what? The important thing is, did that gamer have FUN in those 2 months. If there isn't any new content and he's getting bored, he can cancel his account or return in a few months when there IS new content enabling him to have more fun. What is in the BETA test should be sufficient for their game enjoyment for the rest of their lives...like 70 yrs from now they'll hobble over to their pentium CXL and load up DDO and whoop it up playing the same game that is in Beta. Sorry, but that's not how it works. What you have right now is the basic game. As time goes on it'll get more intricate, larger, and finaly, like all things, it'll peter out and die. This is NOT a finished product. No MMORPG ever is.
It is this kind of reasoning that gets companies in trouble though. You never have a second chance to make a first impression. Get it right the first time and you ensure success for your game. Patching in the fun a few months from now after many of your more serious players have already quit and moved on just isn't a recipe for success. If you look back at MMORPGs of the last 5 years, I think you can take that lesson from their history. Take the time to get the game done right for launch. No excuses, no promises that will ultimately be broken, just deliver a good game that people get when they plunk down their dough and you will have a loyal customer. Most people do not resub to these games. Once they quit and move on, then you have lost them as a customer. Toss in the fact that this game has no end game... once you max your level, who cares how much content they add if it doesn't apply to your character.
Figuratively speaking this might be the prime reason why mos mmorpgs have a life cycle, where they add content in between, to gradually get clients at their ultimate lvl. But here we all are at the threashold of deciding on staying or leaving this game. I think its prime time for hatrel to be launched.
