Thank you for your feedback. We don't generally implement custom maps or features to ensure that we preserve the originality and retain the game balance. However, we are currently having few gameplay related updates in pipeline that we will be launching in the coming weeks.

Event has been postponed to factor in player's suggestions and rework it.

Unfortunately, we can't enforce any rules preventing such a behavior. It's always a risk to leave your character away unattended in non-town maps.
